Katthe P. Wolf, MA
President and CEO
Katthe P. Wolf partnered with colleagues to co-found Be Strong Families in 2012 and currently serves as its President and CEO. Before Be Strong Families, Katthe was Project Director of Strengthening Families Illinois (2004 – 2012). During this time, she was also a consultant with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services on family-centered, strengths-based, trauma informed practice and early childhood initiatives. Before that, Ms. Wolf consulted with Center for the Study of Social Policy in Washington, DC on branding and initial materials development for the national Strengthening Families Initiative. From 1991 - 2003, Katthe was with the national family support organization, Family Resource Coalition (later renamed Family Support America) in a variety of capacities – leaving the organization as its Chief Operating Officer.
She has authored and co-authored numerous publications and articles including Guidelines for Family Support Practice, Pursuing the Dream: What Helps Children and Their Families Succeed, Living the Protective Factors: How Parents Keep their Children Safe and Families Strong, and The Parents Get Real Guide to Getting Your Kids Back. She is an IPEC-certified life coach and kundalini yoga teacher (200-hour certification) and co-creator of Wake Up! to Your Potential – a transformational personal development system.
Katthe earned her bachelor’s degree at Princeton University, summa cum laude, and her Master’s degree at Sofia University (formerly Institute for Transpersonal Psychology). She is currently pursuing a PhD in Integral and Transpersonal Psychology at California Institute for Integral Studies.
Katthe is the adoptive mother of one Ethiopian-American son, Mengistab, 26 years old, and godmother to five other young adults: Yosef, Matheyas, Alfred, Sheldon, and Laverne.
